MANAGEMENT OF VISAS FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM

SKILLED WORKER VISA

Visas for the United Kingdom: Skilled Worker Visa

Since December 31, 2020, the United Kingdom is no longer a member of the European Union. This has generated changes in the free movement of people from Europe, which was in effect until that date.

Initially, no visa is required for stays of less than 90 days and for activities related to tourism and business (visiting clients or suppliers, attending fairs or congresses, etc.).

For any other activity or stays longer than the aforementioned 90 days, Spaniards will need to obtain a visa.

What You Need to Know

âś… The Skilled Worker Visa is required for workers who are hired by a British company.

âś… In the previous migration legislation, it was known as Tier 2 (General).

âś… The British company must be an authorized sponsor and must obtain a sponsorship certificate, a code that identifies those whose hiring has been authorized.

âś… There is a list of occupations that can be filled by hiring a foreigner with this visa, along with a minimum salary requirement.
